For the first time in like a jillion years, I missed the Superbowl. Well...I wouldn't exactly say I missed it.
Every year I go to some party. And no matter who holds it, I always hate it. It's always annoying; I don't understand football, I have some sort of mental block or something. The food is always fattening, but I eat it because I'm bored. There's always beer, which I rarely appreciate, but I drink because I'm bored. And I always have to stay at the party till the very end, but I'm annoyed, because I'm bored. The one time I ever sort of enjoyed a Superbowl party was the time I threw a girls-only Anti-Bowl party; we talked through the game and stayed quiet through the commercials. Bliss.
Tonight, I stayed in with my new boyfriend, Jack Bauer, and our pet dog, Nyquil, and watched the second season of 24. And I did some work on my various articles that are due this week...and I don't miss having missed the Superbowl. I'm sorry if that admission constitutes some sort of treason. But I'm tired of pretending. Life's too short.
Have a good week, y'all.
We are very happy for you!
It was an OK game, kind of like not that big a deal if it were a regular game, but it had its moments.

Most of my friends are not at all interested in the Super Bowl. My "party" two years ago saw one girl on the couch reading Glamour, another with my laptop on her lap trying to figure out what to write to a JDate guy (who's now her fiance), and me watching the game. (Not that I understand football entirely. I just like watching the big game.)

That Keifer Sutherland is so goyish looking. You look absolutely gorgeous in new photo. This is going to a big year for you, I can tell. I spent the day getting an extra four hours of sleep... priceless!

I didn't watch either. I used to, growing up with my family. But my friends aren't really into it. I had a nice quiet evening though, watched The Sopranos, read a book, went to bed early. :)

I spent the Super Bowl taking a class on bracelet making. Where I was, people were all, "Super Bowl? What Super Bowl? Is it on?" Except for the one poor girl from Seattle whose dad kept calling her with updates.

I like the dogs name, did you think of that, or is it just a lazy dog deserving of such a name?
Either way, better than the names I came up with for my rottweiler. If you heard the name, you'd think he was a poodle (I actually let a 2 year old name him, so I guess that's what I get)

"Nyquil" could mean she has a cold after the wild cruise, and is taking it.
I looked at the web site for "24", the girls in it are REALLY cute. Whoever they are.
You could name your rottweiler "Jerry" after my landlord. Just a suggestion. Simcha
