Bob

That sounds BRILLIANT! I may have to go there on a date.

Dakota Pundit

This kind of reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where one of the characters talked during Schindler's List. Or fell asleep, or something. I can't really remember. It does seem a little sacrilegious, but it could also be a little bit funny.

Stephen

That was Jerry and his girlfriend making out during "Schindler's List." And I don't know how the UCB thing could be funnier than that online clip of "Passion" highlights set to "Walking on Sunshine."

La Chat Noir

Sounds hilarious! How much do I wish I could go!

Ken Wheaton

Jesus H. Christ on a popsicle stick, what'll they think of next. But seriously, I don't see how this could be funny. It's not like the movie was campy in any way. And I'm not saying this out of any religious sensibility. It was just downright violent and brutal. Despite the screeching from certain quarters about the gore, crucifixions and scourgings as carried out by the Romans were gruesome ... and we all know Mel Gibson doesn't like to leave much to the imagination when it comes to torture scenes. The Southpark episode worked because it was a cartoon, but if you can sit through this movie and laugh during the scourging and crucifixion scenes (Jesus inventing tables and chairs, on the other hand, now that was pretty fuckin funny), I'd say you might be ready to star in your own version of Clockwork Orange ... or Itchy and Scratchy.

Upright Citizens Brigade is AWESOME. Dear God, how I ove living in New York, center of all which is good and/or noteworthy.

Katie

um, LOVE. I meant love. New York may be the center of the world, but I am decidedly NOT the center of good typing.
