What a great idea! There is also a good deal of IDF Hebrew that has developed. And expressions like "chaval al ha-zman" that have actually changed in meaning over time.

Too many to list.... I guess I'll write "yihiyeh b'seder" which simply means "it will be ok" but has turned into some kind of national slogan. While its flippant use in serious situations can be maddening, I often adopt it and find it useful as a "don't sweat the small stuff" reminder to take a deep breath. "Gam zeh ya'avor" (this too will pass) as well....

הרפתקאות (hirpatka'ot) - adventures. A very un-Hebrew Hebrew word. I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's hard to forget.
