At a transitional moment in her life and career, Amy thought it would be a good article for her, and volunteered - she was chosen from a pool of 50 other people, and underwent the "Stem Cell Face Sculpting" procedure, which utilizes injections of "stem cells from your own body fat, known as autologous adult adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells." (Yum.) The doctor (Nathan Newman, see above link for details) also uses stem cells for hand and vaginal rejuvenation procedures (in case the MyUrbanKvetch readers are interested).
