I posted a note on Facebook earlier this week titled "Weird Things I'll Miss About Israel." I included only one item of my own: "That Galgalatz's 'traffic report' music is the theme to 'Six Feet Under.'" Then I added: "Yours here."
- The Hebrew noun for all breakfast cereals is קורנפלקס (corn flakes).
- Hearing "מה פתעום?" (mah pitom?) in response to everything from a car crash to a dropped toy to a zipper that won't close.
- Having a cellphone for each network....
- Getting a choice in handles to use for the toilet.
- Tonight in the mega supermarket, sale: "turkey throat with fresh bones."
- A fancy coffee drink is instant coffee on warm milk (ness al chalav).
- The Honda Accord is a luxury car.

"Getting a choice in handles to use for the toilet."
Considering the water shortage in the US's southwest - does anyone know if this exists there, too?
