Comedians Invade the Holy Land: Part Deux
A while back, I toured the City of David with a group of comedians imported from the US to do a series of benefit shows for the Crossroads Center in Jerusalem. You know me. That's how I roll.
Here's the article, Holy Comedy, which appeared in the Forward a while ago...To view comedy performance footage from last year, check out parts 1 and 2 on YouTube. There was another set of shows this past winter, featuring Mark Schiff, John Mulrooney, Reggie McFadden, hopefully video will be available soon.
Standup comedian Avi Liberman, my friend who coordinated the tour, is doing it again this summer with several appearances scheduled for throughout the Holy Land. This year, featured comics will be: Dan Naturman, Lowell Sanders, and Harland Williams. The shows will again benefit Crossroads Jerusalem. And since I'll be in Israel for a good portion of the summer, I hope to see you at one of the shows!
And for your entertainment, above left, another picture of Craig Robinson ("The Office") in Israel last summer. We were in the City of David, right before the walk through Hezekiah's Tunnel. (Which I skipped. And so did he. But that's another story, for another time.)
