Today, you'll be honored to know, is the bat mitzvah anniversary of my college graduation.
Twelve years ago, Cheers had its series finale. And I graduated last in my class.
Why? Because they called us up alphabetically. No, my last name doesn't start with Z, but the geniuses split the alphabet, calling us up from two sides of the stage in two groups: A-K and L-Z. Therefore, graduating me one of the last in my class, on the banks of the Old Raritan.
Those were good years. And I miss them.
Happy bat mitzvah, Rutgers College class of 1993!
